Hello! My name is Heather Libick. I am a pilot wife, a mom of two young children, and a Texas A&M Aggie. (Gig 'em!) I spend my days as a 3rd grade teacher in a small school district just outside of Denton, in north Texas. In my 13 years as an educator, I have developed a passion for inspiring my students to be life long readers. Watching my young brother struggle with reading in school stirred something in me, and I have always had a soft spot for students that need an extra push in reading. It has long been my dream to become a reading specialist and serve in an intervention or literacy coach position on my campus. I am currently pursuing that dream in graduate school, and this blog is a space for me to investigate and share resources, research, ideas, activities, and success stories of all things literacy related.
Elementary teacher. Literacy lover. Graduate student. Follow my journey as I pursue my goal of becoming a certified reading specialist and share all things literacy!
